I think it's perhaps the perfect time for me bid Adieu to my seniors. As year one comes to an end at the B-School, now when I turn my mind to the past to think about my Seniors all I can see are some of the greatest moments in my life these seniors have offered me.
Entering into the hostel atmosphere for the first time in my life, the experience of Seniors started way back when I got selected here. Interacting with them on Social media, about the life that we are going to have and especially about the food. When I stepped into the college also I had a few seniors who were here to complete some of their unfinished business from first year (If you know what I mean!! :P) with whom I spent the entire night speaking and gaining valuable information about few staffs and more importantly about a few seniors itself.. :)
July pirakkum, July pirakkum,
Juniorukum Seniorukum,
Kalloori vaasal engum ragging nadakkum,
Students manam oar nandhavanamey,
Roja irukum mullum irukum,
Natpukku ragging kooda vazhi vagukkum.
And this was how I met three of my seniors who were among the few that I spent my entire first year with. However it was not much of a ragging because they could hardly remember even 10% of what happened the previous night. The next big task for us involving the seniors was the selection of buddies(similar to any buddy system). I mention it as a big task because I liked it and it became hard for anyone to accept me as their buddy because of the Great name and the awesome criminal rating that I had among most of the seniors. But then I realized that if you have to have a buddy, then he must be the person with who at least 90% of your characters and ideas must match and if you are lucky you might even like the same brand of liquor&Cigarettes and I became lucky :P, I can tell you we had one hell of a run the entire year.
One thing that I learnt from the one great year I had spent with the seniors is that, they are just not for guidance of studies and for helping you get good jobs. The most important lessons that you learn from your seniors are their own experiences and the legacy that you are entitled to follow when they leave the institution, in remembrance of them which in turn will be done by your juniors once you leave. And here I have, a rich legacy that I must carry forward which I hope I will.
Finally the last phrase :- It's time to bid adieu to all my seniors, the ones that- liked me, made me like them, hated me, made me hate them, the ones who made me respect them, the ones who taught me how to stand up when tough situations arise, how to make people believe when they have given up all hope, and finally the ones with whom I've spent my entire first year with. You've been at all the occasions to make me remember them. I realized how much you guys made my days here when you were gone for four days, the entire institute looked as if it was dead. Finally the time has come, which I've always hated, to bid Adieu.
Hoping to meet you all real soon, After all it's a small world!!!!
