Terrorism in India : Whose puppet?

"A mere statement of L-e-T terrorist Ajmal Kasab, who was executed on November 21, about Saeed’s involvement in the 2008 Mumbai attacks could not be the only evidence to nail Saeed. “It needs further corroboration,” (Source: The Hindu)

- This was said by Pakistan's Internal Minister Rehman Malik on 14-12-12, when India wanted Pakistan's permission to take into custody Hafiz Saeed, the person who was called as Mastermind of 26/11 attacks by Ajmal Kasab and who is believed to be the active member of Lashkar-e-Taiba. While the Indian home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde was confident that India will have custody of the suspect for investigation, it is now a disheartening news that this will not happen not only to him, but the public as well who were hoping to gain some development on the 26/11 case.

Who is Hafiz Saeed?

  • Hafiz Muhammad Saeed was born in 1950 in Sargodha, Punjab and moved to Lahore during the partition of India.
  • He was the amir(ruler) Jama'at-ud-Da'wah, one of the largest and most active Islamic terrorist organisation acting mainly from Pakistan.
  • The United Nations declared Jama'at-ud-Da'wah as a terrorist organization and Hafiz Saeed as its leader in December 2008.
  • Recently Ajmal kasab the one who was hanged recently for the 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai stated Hafiz saeed as the mastermind behind the attacks.
  • He is considered a terrorist by India because of his ties with Lashkar-e-taiba and its continuous attacks on India.
Having said all these facts,  any activities related to a particular terrorist organisation shall be traced back to it's most active front line members. In Mumbai terror attacks on 26/11 the lone survivor Ajmal kasab is a member of LeT and though Hafiz saeed has pleaded that he is in no way related to Lashkar-e-taiba, on the basis of doubt, Indian government  must have been given permission to take under custody hafiz saeed for investigation. Hafiz Saeed has been freely moving around in Pakistan and is also indulged in provocative anti-India rhetoric.

But even after Ajmal Kasab' statement that Hafiz Saeed is the mastermind behind the 26/11 attacks the Pakistan Interior Minister has rejected the request for taking Hafiz Saeed into custody, stating that a mere statement by a terrorist is not enough, keeping in mind the relations between India & Pakistan in the past, an interior minister must have made sure that even the slightest possibility for doubts for their good relationship with India. But his statement has made people question "Why the Pakistan Govt. is not accepting the statement of a dangerous terrorist against a person who is considered as even more dangerous??"

If Pakistan is shielding Hafiz Saeed, allowed him to roam freely in Pakistan but hesitating to handover him to India, what value must he have to them?? Whether he has information about Pakistan's involvement in Terrorism in India?? Or is the entire terrorism attacks on India are held by Pakistan in the name of these organisations and these organisations and terrorists are just mere puppets??

To all these questions not time can answer but it lies with Hafiz Saeed. The truths shall unfold only when he is handed to India. To make this a possibility the Indian Govt. must make serious demands until which this won't be a possibility and people here will be believing the terrorist attacks are just a mere show by Pakistan.

One man can change it.!! -Narendra Modi

Narendra Damodardas Modi born on 17 Sept 1950 is at present Indian youngsters most favorite Indian politician. He has changed all the hatred the youths had towards politics and now he has inspired thousands of youth to make an entry to Indian Politics. That's what the call as One seed yields lots of fruits where Narendra Modi is the seed.

Narendra Modi is known for his aggressive style both in campaigning and in action which made L.K.Advani choose Modi to lead the election campaign in Gujarat in 1998.Then Narendra Modi became Gujarat's Chief Minister in 2001 October. Modi's tenure as Gujarat's Chief Minister began in Oct-7 2001 and till date he is the CM of Gujarat he became Gujarat's longest serving CM in July 2007.

Development of Gujarat under Modi:

Modi took charge when Gujarat's economy was shrinking and Domestic growth was stagnant. But due to Modi's extra-ordinary efforts and only mindset of improving Gujarat's status the state saw an incredible 10% growth in GDP(Gross Domestic Product) during his first tenure which was the highest of all the Indian States then. Modi put forth lots of plans for the development of the state some of the Important ideas which were successfully implemented also include
1.Agricultural research labs in rural ares.
2.Electrify every village.
3.To educate and train every Government employee.

In the past 12 years Gujarat's GDP has been growing at a rate of 12% matching only that of China's.Gujarat holds for 16% of India's export and 17% of GDP.

Gujarat has bagged several prestigious awards like UN Sasakawa Award for disaster mitigation, CAPAM award for innovation in governance, UNESCO award, CSI award for e-governance and Indiatech award in power sector.Gujarat has been awarded World's largest Solar plant from Clinton Foundation.

It is also expected that Gujarat may provide 1/3rd of India's GDP sooner..!!!!!!

What made this possible??

After reading this one question that arises in our minds is If one man can do it in one state then why can's we do it in other states?? 40% of people in urban India have voted for Narendra Modi's Gujarat to be India's least corrupted state.!!!Incidentally, Modi is the only political figure anywhere in the world that WikiLeaks cables from the U.S. diplomatic establishment have shown in a positive light.

All these achievements possible because of the above statement. When the leader is corrupt then it leads every followers mind to be corrupt too but when the leader is non-corrupt then there is a probability of the followers to change too and in Gujarat all the ideas are seen in action and not in just words. Modi never promises to give anything free to anybody cause he believes everyone should earn their living. These are the major facts that moved
Gujarat between the extremes..!!!

After reading all this everyone wants to have a leader like Narendra Modi..!!! But who wants to be one like Narendra Modi??!!?? Do you... Common the future India lies in our hands.. Lets change it from darkness to Lightning.

Economics is all life is about !!

It's nearly 2 AM and am unable to sleep even after rolling around in the bed for 30 mins, maybe the three hours sleep this afternoon could be one of the reasons. Thinking of what to do, I decide to blog. And to blog about what?? Recently I've tried to think of something to blog about but I seem to have lost my sense of thinking (Thanks to the B-School training), and then I decided that I should not log out without writing a post and publishing it. So here I am sharing about my Economic status.

The recent past I learnt that to become a B-Grad you must definitely know your basics in Economics, how  markets work, what makes people buy, their income levels, how the growth will be in the future etc etc., and the best part learning economics is that you can see how it goes with you. This is what I could think of while hearing the common economic terms that am hearing recently in accordance with me.

1. Unemployment :
I had to ask help from the spell check even to spell out this word, thus has been my relationship with unemployment in the past. Never known about it since I joined my MBA right after my Under Graduation and also when completing that I had a job at my discretion  but recently I feel as if I will be having a good relationship with it soon :P and we'll see what fate has for me in the cards. Before I joined here I was in the Voluntary unemployment category, and when I complete my MBA I don't know if I will be in the Structural unemployment segment, and I hope after I get my job and wish to change I don't do stupid mistakes and end up in the Frictional unemployment segment.

2. Types of Money:
The major confusion we had when discussing for the exams was this topic, with regards to the Indian economy. The American type of illustration is what is given at most places so we had to find about it separately for the Indian context. Here I will say about the types of money that I possess :

M0: Currency in circulation:
Obviously in the case of a college student and that too one without a prior job savings this is the hardest part in college life :P. The currency in circulation or the liquid money that I posses is high during the beginning of the month and reaches to the minimum balance to be maintained in case of contingencies a few hours later after paying my bills and debts to my friends. And after that I go around raising my debts for that current month.

M1: M0+ Demand deposits:
M1 AKA Narrow money is narrower in my case and in many circumstances it will be the minimum balance to be maintained in the account, and this money is sparred because my debit card doesn't allow me to draw money after the minimum balance has been "achieved". I bet I will soon find a way to utilize this money too.

M2,M3,M4:
With me M2 M3 M4 are all types of money only in economics classes and I got nothing to do with it in real life. I will soon update this status provided the hypotheses I provide with unemployment stays true. :)

3. Inflation:
My experience with inflation started after I reached hostel for doing my MBA, before which I was in my home and there were fewer limits for my dispensable "income" from my father (which is known in many homes around TN as thendasoru) but once I reached the hostel I had to restrict my expense to the surplus I have after paying my monthly bills, and that remains to be very minimal just enough to fill my bike's thirst.. (damn my bike is one hell of a thirsty one). The pens and pencils which are mandatory for exams are nearly double the price of my last known knowledge, and I also object now for the raise in prices of various commodities that I once supported from my home sitting in front of Television justifying it by the statement "How are the politicians supposed to support the nation without having sufficient money?" , now I realize what would have the feeling of millions of households who are supposed to support an entire family with an amount which I cannot support myself here.

With these few terms Economics does not end, but as far as my learning it is these and an few other terms that we dream of as a common man to survive and believe in people we elect  that they will provide required help for us to achieve these dreams. The world may spin on it's own but the people who live within that spin and run around with these dreams of economics.

SE7EN - A Life amidst different characters

பெயக்கண்டுà®®் நஞ்சுண் டமைவர் நயத்தக்க
நாகரிகம் வேண்டு பவர்

Meaning: Those who desire urbanity which all shall love, even after swallowing the poison served to them by others, will be friendly with them.

After reading this Kural today, I immediately realized how this can be related to the life I am  living at the B-School. The need to socialize, the inability to show how you feel deep inside really because you could not, at that moment, estimate the true potential of the individual and the stories he/she might be able to project about the situation.

This may be a common scene at any hostel, but the one I am facing is different because of the people studying here, the amount of experience they've had in the corporate culture, but still resisting to come off of the schooldays and childhood silly fights. The scene in an hostel can be justified by stating that they are immature but here??!! The best of the possible, hand picked after Testing, Interviewing etc etc.. I wonder if the screening was done to know if the person will be able to withhold all this happenings.

As I promised at the first post of this blog I decided to discuss about a list of 7 characters(the most different and noticed ones) anonymous though, here with you.P.S: No offence mentioned.

ROM-COMs: These people are most common in any culture, from your school days you must have this guy sitting right next to you, but never spoke a word to you or the faculty when in class but after the class you can hear him say "Hey, Anitha I couldn't understand that question can you help me out here!!!" In a nutshell these people are those "Who have sworn not to talk to a single boy from their childhood". This type of characters most often create a humorous image among guys (their image among girls is not available with me right now) but they keep imagining that they create an envied image :P.. Often lots of jokes are created keeping them as the center plot, but for that you must have to be with them for a while bearing all the irritation.

Captains Of America: They are good people, I repeat "GOOD"people, who believe they are the ones sent to this world by Lord Almighty to Learn, Take notes, Ask doubts and never play.. These cases are common in many colleges.. The one who always comes prepared for the class, doing all the assignments.. The ambitious Geek aiming to be the topper and when he flanks gets mad at others and starts blaming the situation. I would not like to comment further about them, because they create the possibility for us to at least know what the exam is on the next day.Again you have to spare with these people to enjoy the shield they provide like Captain America answering the toughest questions asked by the Staffs during the sessions by answering them even before the question is over.

Now having talked about a few unique cases, let us enter into Group Dynamics :P
-The various characters present in each group..

Jack and Master of all trades: These people will be present in any group that you can see.  The ones who act as the savior to the entire team. He is the only person who knows what has to be done, what is the last date for submission and so on. They are the ones whom the group the group turns to when a question is asked to. They are the captains' of the team - Deciding the direction in which the ship must be sailing and are believed to know hell lot of things that the team does not know and are perceived as having extra natural powers.

Confidence Boosters: These are the type of people who believe that they have joined the institute just to Eat, Sleep and play. The ones that you can always see as a sign of cheering when you feel that the entire hostel is preparing hard for the exam and you have only done with one chapter- there will be this guy still in the Shuttle court or Table tennis room unaware that a question paper will be given to him within 12 hours. But the true potential of this guy will be realized only when the results are released.

Bloopers: This is the guy because of whom the entire group is still alive :P. Whenever the spirit is lost or your minds are filled with formulas and Theories waiting to pour out at any moment- he comes with a great joke that make you forget the moment and laugh your hearts out. The only reason he is sparred in the team is that he has this amazing capability to come up with an incredible joke at any moment. You may have to bear with him at many a times because there will be a lot of jokes targeting you. Thus you must tolerate this guy also the same way mentioned in the Kural.

Bourne Ultimatum: The one that is the rarest of rare cases in a premium B-School like mine. Without knowing the reason he joined the B-School roaming around, watching movies, playing, sleeping and merely managing to grab those marks that will get you across the passing line and without the help of the entire team he is always a "??"..

U.F.Os: How often have you felt that it is very hard to guess if one of your friends is Smiling or Staring, Happy or Angry , Laughing or Crying.?? This guy is that character the entire team is waiting for his temper to burst out any time. Anger Management classes are a must for these buddies.
There are a hell lot of other characters I would love to mention but this is what has to my mind now. Saving the rest for later.
Mentioning earlier that how we have to bear all these different characters in the hostel, but without these guys the life at any hostel would be incomplete. But still I will elaborate on these characters in the posts to come. Till then Signing out people :)

Three days of sleep-less life

For the three past days, I have had one of the most gruesome, stomach gushing experiences my life till date. This experience began in less than an hour after my previous blog post.. The strike announced by the opposition parties kicked off the start to my awesome experience. Planning to start to college early the next day to attend the classes by 9:00 AM it gave a mild heart attack to me. But then it was stated in the news that the bus services would function as normal but from 7 in the morning, but that time would not be enough for me to reach the college on time. Then I had to start immediately from home as the bus services would be stopped from 00:00 and I had to take another bus from town and travel 45 mins to reach my college.

I began from my home around 8:00 PM and luckily got to the ccoll by 11:45PM.. :).. Before I could let out a sigh of relief that I reached college as a full package, I was dragged by my collar into my friend's room and was beat black and blue before I could realize what was going on!!! Then I realized that they gave me one work to do (one single work for the entire trimester) and I've forgotten it and went home to eat sweets, and the work was pretty huge that even 4 people couldn't do.. Only then did my too slow brain realised that these &%^$*& guys have handed over a kid of job that even four people can't do on one full day, only to me.

After all the crude and icy looks they gave me, I was not allowed to sleep till 5 AM the next day.. and 2 AM the day following.. The first lesson that I learnt after all these is that I should probably change the name of the blog.. :( being a night-owl is probably one of the worst nightmares I could have about nights.. The thrilling and sleep"less" days I have had has changed my overall view about hostel life and college life, though all that we did for the last three nights were cases, presentations and financial analysis I could get to know the workload that I had given to all of my teammates all these days... And dear teammates if you are reading don't even think that I would feel for it and start working(U probably know it) I will still remain the same.

When I hear stories about the life at hostels and the enjoyment they have I ve thought that fun at home was more awesome.. But after two months in hostel and few sleep-less nights, though that all we did was Analysis I think after two years I shall go out with a heavy heart for sure. :)

But till then we ve got 104 weeks, 730 days.. Lets rock on.. Cheers :)

Rajinikanth-Trolling Newton since 1975..

Hundreds of people gathered whistling and screaming "Thalaivaaa", lots of police packed for protection, people arriving in vans, banners and posters all over the city, everybody waiting eagerly for the arrival..What do you think it is?? A political gathering??? Ha ha.. My thalaivar Rajinikanth has managed to troll you already. Welcome to the theater where a Rajini movie releases. Dancing outside the theater, entering the theater in the same way and when the letters S-U-P-E-R-S-T-A-R appear on the screen, blowing the roof above. How many times have we experienced this and been a part of this traditional way to celebrate a Thalaivar movie release??

"People get older by age but only few people grow younger" is a famous saying about Rajinikanth.. Fans, may like any actor, but when a Rajini movie releases everybody turns into a Rajni fan.I have seen many people who criticize him, begging for a First Day ticket to his movies.. This phenomenon has been the idol of Lakhs of youngsters from the 1980s and mine too, since I watched my maiden Rajini movie.

Any festival day is not complete without a Superstar's movie, and today I was lucky enough to catch a Super       movie of Superstar "SIVAJI"..This reminds me the awesome memories of how I watched the movie. The still I have added to this post is the First poster that was published in the papers, since then the Sivaji fever started all over TamilNadu..Finally the wait was over, the movie was scheduled to release on 15th June, exactly a week after my birthday. 14th June 2007 - night 10PM, one day before the release of Sivaji,I was waiting to watch the Special show in the same way mentioned in the first phrase and when the show was cancelled all the anger we had  was vented out on the neighboring shops and policemen..

I was extremely disappointed that I couldn't catch the first glimpse of the most awaited movie of the decade, but somehow I managed to watch the movie on the opening day.And the way we guys, who were lucky and "brave" enough to watch a Rajini movie on the first day were viewed with envy by others who couldn't, everybody including teachers asking feedback about the movie and me answering with my sore throat after shouting for 3 hours..still remains in my memory as fresh as recorded..

There are a few things that make you look back at how you enjoyed it and had fun.. and for everyone who is born in Tamil Nadu a Rajini movie is one such thing.. Thank you Thalaiva for giving me lots of such memories..:)

Never Back Down.

Never back down- an awesome phrase, and one of the few movies that inspired me so much that I started hitting the gym very hard after seeing the movie. My favorite dialogue that I can relate to my every day life is the one that Sean Faris tells to Hounsou "Everyday when I enter the gym I come with full of frustration and when I exit after my workout exhausted am just me "..

Am stating this dialogue now because I just came from the gym all exhausted at 12 noon.. You can easily grasp how bad a guys was in need to hit the gym when he works out at 12 noon. :P... I think it is important for a person like me, when exposed to an environment like this, to have a gateway to vent out. Thank god I got the gym here.

One of the best companions I have here at this B-School is the Gym and the steels there. As Arnold says "People can say you are good, better or worse and they can lie, but steel is the real deal it hits you straight on the face saying the reality". I have faced this situation quite a lot, people say I am good healthy and grown big  but I only come to realize that I am able to max a few Kilos lesser than what I usually do, and there are also occasions when people have said I look worse and when I max out a few Kilos higher than the previous time, I feel tremendously happy. The reason might be that I wanted to prove that I am better than ever.

Telling about the movie that inspired me in just two lines wont do justice for it. Sean Faris looks like the combination of Tom Cruise and Cristiano Ronaldo, this might be one of the reasons that inspired me, to look like them.. :) The story as revolves how he, after getting beaten up by the Macho-guy of the school, bounces back at him by continually hitting the gym.. After watching this movie two new songs were added to my 5-star rating playlist, Someday by Flipside and Stronger by Kanya West. The lyrics just as inspiring as the movie.

Time and again I have asked my friends to join any gym and workout.. Some guys joined after my saying and some others after seeing my transformation. Bodybuilding not only allows you to vent out your everyday frustration but it also teaches you the very basic laws of life. Determination, patience and finally the three words Never Back down..!!! Gaining 20 kilos in the past three years I believe to have a fair idea speaking about the topic.

It is very important for grads like me here to hit the gym, maintain a good and healthy physique. If you have or ever had the intention of entering the doors of a gym don't wait more "Just do it".. keep going and results will come to you, not day by day but evaluate your development after 6 months and you will thank me :)

Once in a while an idea arises.

It's already 00:38, sitting in my hostel room and staying stagnant on the introduction paragraph of Rediscovering market segmentation with a mild sound from my stomach signifying the need for more, thinking of my status the same time every night 3 months ago - one hand on the X-box controller, one hand in the snack jar, lying down on the floor overtaking Lewis Hamilton over the final corner of the Singapore Grand prix.(Man what an awsome feeling it is to win your F1 Championship?? LOL).

Suddenly I get the idea of writing a blog/book(??!!) about the life am having in one of the premium B-Schools in India. I have had these ideas frequently in class everytime I think of what to do after my MBA, the next frequent thought that arises is getting married and settling with the dowry, before I could think of the next "big-settling" plan I hear someone saying in my mind"you've had no sleep yesterday night don't miss this awesome opportunity**&&^***%$", and before I realize I am "zzzzzz" and caught on some one's mobile.

Tonight is totally a different one I finally started typing the first post here. The life of an  MBA- Masters of Business Administration they say, what they never said is Mass-Brain-Assault , yeah you come here with the FRESH mind that was never used except the previous night of an exam and while peeping into your friend's paper and when not visible trying to imagine what you think he has written, but after two months here all I can think of is Accounting, Marketing, Finance, AS 1,2,3,4,..., Organisation, operation and once in a while the howls from the adjacent TT room..

Confused!!! am sure you can find out many meanings for the word and all those meanings you can find in me.    When saying ME I hope I stand for most part of the MBA grads all over. The night owl life am leading, the mixture of the various subjects am learning, the various Characters I meet everyday, the mixed emotions I get  every day and after all this the crave inside me that makes me wake up the next morning and go through the same again and again and AGAIN!! is all that am going to cram here in this Blog where I am going to waste some of my time, hoping that you will also waste some CALCULATED amount of time reading.

It's time to get back to the Life of an MBA grad and sign off my aspirations as a writer for the next 20 hours.

Phew(Am gone)!!
