Never back down- an awesome phrase, and one of the few movies that inspired me so much that I started hitting the gym very hard after seeing the movie. My favorite dialogue that I can relate to my every day life is the one that Sean Faris tells to Hounsou "Everyday when I enter the gym I come with full of frustration and when I exit after my workout exhausted am just me "..
Am stating this dialogue now because I just came from the gym all exhausted at 12 noon.. You can easily grasp how bad a guys was in need to hit the gym when he works out at 12 noon. :P... I think it is important for a person like me, when exposed to an environment like this, to have a gateway to vent out. Thank god I got the gym here.
One of the best companions I have here at this B-School is the Gym and the steels there. As Arnold says "People can say you are good, better or worse and they can lie, but steel is the real deal it hits you straight on the face saying the reality". I have faced this situation quite a lot, people say I am good healthy and grown big but I only come to realize that I am able to max a few Kilos lesser than what I usually do, and there are also occasions when people have said I look worse and when I max out a few Kilos higher than the previous time, I feel tremendously happy. The reason might be that I wanted to prove that I am better than ever.
Telling about the movie that inspired me in just two lines wont do justice for it. Sean Faris looks like the combination of Tom Cruise and Cristiano Ronaldo, this might be one of the reasons that inspired me, to look like them.. :) The story as revolves how he, after getting beaten up by the Macho-guy of the school, bounces back at him by continually hitting the gym.. After watching this movie two new songs were added to my 5-star rating playlist, Someday by Flipside and Stronger by Kanya West. The lyrics just as inspiring as the movie.
Time and again I have asked my friends to join any gym and workout.. Some guys joined after my saying and some others after seeing my transformation. Bodybuilding not only allows you to vent out your everyday frustration but it also teaches you the very basic laws of life. Determination, patience and finally the three words Never Back down..!!! Gaining 20 kilos in the past three years I believe to have a fair idea speaking about the topic.
It is very important for grads like me here to hit the gym, maintain a good and healthy physique. If you have or ever had the intention of entering the doors of a gym don't wait more "Just do it".. keep going and results will come to you, not day by day but evaluate your development after 6 months and you will thank me :)
